Oh Oh It's Magic...

I have truly found a magic wand. That's right - a hair straightener that actually straightens my hair without just poufing it out! It's a miracle, I tell you!! And here it is: The Remington T-Studio Collection 2 1/4" Digital Flatiron. I would definitely recommend this product. And FYI - it's cheaper at Target (or I wouldn't have bought it in the first place). It managed to turn this frizzy poufy (scary) mess:
into this sleek and straight style:
Now, I know my natural wavy/curly/frizzy hair doesn't look like it would really be that much of a struggle, but believe me - it is. Ask Kerri, she's witnessed hairdressers having difficulties with it. I've had hairdressers tell me that I have difficult hair (they don't tend to believe me when I warn them). I guess the strong personality has seeped from my brain into my hair.
I have gone into work with straight hair for the past 2 days, and have gotten a lot of compliments. (Now, I'm going to take that positively, instead of twisting it to mean my usual 'do is crap...) I love how smooth and soft my straightened hair feels, but at the same time, I'm not used to how it looks at all. I guess mainly I am noticing how long my face is...And just how much forehead I have!
Anyway, I'll probably keep straightening it until I get lazy and the novelty wears off. Or until it gets really hot out and I don't want that kind of heat near my head. Or until I get all self-righteous and annoyed at myself for fighting nature.

I have had a ceramic flat iron for months. I am sorry for not mentioning it. It is the most wonderful thing ever invented in my opinion.

Your straight hair does look very pretty, and even feels smooth too. It's not corse like it is when it is curly. (and BTW...it still looks very nice curly, don't twist our compliments!)
Kristin does hav ea good point...does it curl when it gets wet?? Maybe we'll see tonight if it desides to rain on our way out of the office! :)

WOW! Ok, dude, dont take this the wrong way or anything, because I never thought you were a dog or anything like that before, but I so totally wanted to call you and tell you that you totally look fabulous! And I never use the word "fabulous", unless it is to describe Las Vegas! But day-um...you are rockin' that sleek and straight style like no other!

See so curly or straight we all like it and think it looks great on you.

Thanks for all the compliments y'all! Good thing I'm in a good mood tonight, because you all know I can twist anything you say into a negative...(right Kerri?)

(And Dagny - you've been holding out on me! But really, these things are like magic, no?)

How did you think I survived the humidity of Mexico in December? At least once a day that baby was plugged in. And since my hair has a lot more wave than yours does, a good day there meant that I had as much wave as you did in your before picture. A good day here means that I can look like your after.

Humidity is the enemy!!

Your hair looks very nice, but I prefer the hair crimping of the 80's & 90's, now that's a hairdo!

The next time I see you Pancho, I expect every hair on your head to be crimped. I may have to speak to Laura about this.

Wow! That is most definitely an amazing tool. I for one am always a fan of the big, curly poofy hair. (I think it is my Southern roots.) But that is a really fabulous look for you. Just stunning.

Of course, the non-smiling before picture and the radiantly smiling after picture doesn't influence anyone from thinking that the after picture is prettier! I think you hair looks beautiful either way (and I've been straightening mine for years using various methods - including a regular clothes iron when I was in college. Yep...lay your head on the ironing board and let your friend iron your hair for you...times have not changed much!)
